The industrial-metal pioneers Rorschach Test are set to electrify audiences once again. Following the release of their hauntingly powerful album Fallen, the band is hitting the road alongside the legendary shock-rock group Genitorturers for the "Scars and Stripes" tour. With an unmistakable blend of industrial grit and a touch of 80's experimental vibes, Rorschach Test’s return promises an unforgettable live experience.

Fallen, the band’s first album in decades, showcases their signature fusion of thunderous riffs, dark melodies, and introspective lyrics. The title track’s music video has already made waves, earning a coveted spot on MTV Live's "Metal Thrashing Madness." The track channels the raw energy of bands like Rammstein, while layering in a distinctly gothic and industrial edge that harks back to their roots.

Frontman James Baker describes the upcoming tour as a meaningful reunion. "Going back on the road with Genitorturers fits with Rorschach Test's emphasis on positive mental health and fighting stigma. Gen embodies freedom of speech and self-expression. In a world where personal liberties are often taken for granted, it’s essential to create spaces where people feel safe, understood, and validated," Baker shares.

The chemistry between Rorschach Test and Genitorturers is undeniable. Reflecting on a memorable moment from a past tour, Baker recalls a time when Gen’s generosity saved their performance. "Our keyboards were destroyed during a storm. Gen made a call, and moments later, our keyboardist was borrowing a Roland Juno from Trent Reznor’s home in New Orleans. It’s moments like these that prove how profoundly influential and supportive they’ve been for the scene."

The "Scars and Stripes" tour begins in Tampa, Florida, and spans a wide range of cities, bringing the dark, industrial vibes to fans across the country.

Rorschach Test’s resurgence has been a whirlwind journey. From their humble beginnings—rooted in James Baker’s early experiences with gospel music—to their explosive debut on Slipdisc/Mercury Records with Unclean in 1998, the band has always pushed boundaries. Baker’s path has been equally transformative, evolving from a rebellious rocker to a hospice chaplain and founder of Unlabeled Artists, a nonprofit label supporting underserved communities.

The group’s latest offerings reflect their maturity and resilience. Songs like "Fallen" and "Belated" dive deep into themes of transformation, mental health, and confronting darkness—all delivered through their signature industrial-metal lens. With Fallen and Unclean (recently remastered and re-released) bookending their impressive career, Rorschach Test has solidified their place as trailblazers of the genre.

"It’s incredible to see fans from all walks of life come together for our shows," Baker reflects. "Our music’s purpose has always been about connecting with the misunderstood and giving a voice to the voiceless."

Fans old and new won’t want to miss this monumental tour. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes stories as Rorschach Test continues their triumphant return to the stage.
