Pop-Punk Smooth Brain

New York based punk-pop Smooth Brain started out as a metalcore three-piece, added two more around the time of the pandemic, and began exploring their punky side. The music is akin to Green Day and Honey Revenge, and the zeitgeist is a developmental blend of joy and rage. They write songs that embrace their LGBTQ fellowship and their community, and the fan base has been growing steadily since 2002.

Smooth Brain’s new single, Derealization, dropped April 11th alongside the Olivia Rodrigo cover, good 4 you. A lot of the inspiration for these songs seems to be coming from the sounds of the early 2000s. The song tackles the art of dealing with your own mental stability under the influence of a harsh world.

Derealization is produced by Peter Duff. Smooth Brain is Izzy Gunn, Hera Andre-Bergmann, Ben Schaare, Maryn Czajkowski and Jordan Mel. Any upcoming shows/tour dates will be posted on their official site

Music video was directed, produced, & filmed by Leigh Ann Rodgers and edited by Hera Andre-Bergmann and Leigh Ann Rodgers.
