Let Your New Doppleganger Stand In For You
The precious Quad Cortex and Neural DSP Plugins use artificial intelligence to learn and generate near-perfect clones of popular amps and tone styles belonging to popular music artists. Many Nashville songwriters are using chatGPS to rewrite songs and get entire album concepts, down to tracklistings. In the spring of 2023, Grimes embraced AI voice replication technology instead of fighting it, and created a website that people could use to replicate her voice, promising 50% recording royalties to anyone using it. She charged 10 dollars a pop for the honor. It worked; she made a lot of money.
So what’s next? Seeing as we’re all getting tapped out with the constant flood of ads and sterile tutorials, there needs to be a fresh face. An artificially fresh face, if the algorithms are correct in dealing the cards everyone wants.
We are living in a world of video game, animation, and fantasy.
It’s becoming easier by the day to generate anything you want, which poses the philosophical question, “Did we finally figure out how to really manifest a parallel universe?”
I believe the next step in marketing might lie in the animation of AI avatars. You know, the kind that talks back. The kind you can use to create an entire world, and entice your followers into visiting more often. I’m talking about turning your marketing and self promotion into engaging stories.
It’s already happening. I’m going to go off the rails here and give you the most taboo, extreme scenario (and it’s true): Porn stars and chat models on Cherry Cam and Only Fans are already doing it. Example: Australian model Gina Stewart paid a tech savvy kid to build an intelligent avatar for her, and she’s calling herself the “world hottest grandma” at age 52. Her risqué double has been featured now in Playboy and on the cover of the “sexy AI edition” of Autobabes.
While this might not be what most of us are looking to do, the marketing possibilities are endless. Think about it; an AI version of you, announcing upcoming live shows, standing in as a talking head when you don’t feel like getting in front of a camera, or even becoming a spokesperson for live Q and A streams! People love video games. They love escaping reality. We already talk to AI characters in those games. The metaverse is on the horizon. It stands to reason that our next step might be through a digital door and into a new virtual world of metahuman assistants, taking care of our marketing stories while we have more time to work on our music and art. Not only would it keep an audience's interest, but it could trigger more ideas for making money in a world where the sales of physical CDs and albums are going downhill.
