The Incisive Symphony of Open Surgery: Absolute Destruction

Swedish death metal band Open Surgery is releasing their fourth full-length sharp collection of songs, Absolute Destruction. It’s nine tracks of homicidal lyrics and abrasive, machine gunning riffs. The album drops on July 19th, and fans of classic death metal with that old Florida sound are going to love it.

Open Surgery formed around 2012 in Finspong, Sweden. The sound is heavily influenced by groups like Morbid Angel, Deicide and Obituary. Previous records include Experiments of Excessive Torture, Post Mortem Mutilation and After Birth Abortion. The extreme lyrics are not for delicate hearts.

As for the production, it’s marvelous; blended and balanced, with a nice, thick bass line. Absolute Destruction is recorded and mixed at Köttindustrin studios and mastered by the Meat Master.

Open Surgery is DD Ripper on vocals and guitar, Terry Surgeon on lead, Gravemachine on bass and Apollo Andersson on drums. Check out the tight “Sub Zero Suffocation” on YouTube:

Absolute Destruction will be released under BVR Records.
