Spanish Thrashers RETADOR Return with ‘Earëndel’

Spanish thrash metal powerhouse RETADOR will be releasing their second full-length album Earëndel on the 21 of January 2025. Xtreem Music is handling the release across CD, vinyl, and digital platforms.
Since Retador’s formation in Málaga during the summer of 2020, the band has rapidly ascended through the ranks of Spain's thrash metal community. They made their first mark on the scene with a 2021 demo, which included the standout track "La Venda." The accompanying music video for this song captured their distinctive vibe and helped establish their reputation. Jofre’s vocals flaunt a Mille Petrozza kind of vibe, adding to the furious and rabid speed of the new album.
Going back, the self-titled debut album emerged in September 2022, recorded at Barcelona's prestigious Moontower Studios. The legendary Dan Swanö put his finishing touches on the material at Germany's Unisound Studios, delivering a masterful mastering job that helped the record earn spots on numerous critics' best-of lists. Following the album's success, RETADOR spent the next two years building their live reputation through extensive touring and festival appearances throughout Spain.
For their sophomore effort, Retador chose to maintain their prevailing strategy, returning to Moontower Studios in September 2024 for recording sessions. They once again enlisted Dan Swanö's expertise for mastering, ensuring Earëndel maintains the pristine production values of their debut while pushing their signature sound into new territory. Based on the band's trajectory and continued evolution, this upcoming release looks set to further cement RETADOR's position in the modern thrash metal landscape.
